At AppleRose Solicitors, we operate as a single, fully integrated global partnership, working collaboratively across geographies, practice areas, and sectors to create meaningful advantage for our clients. Our culture is built on collaboration, inclusion, and respect for diverse perspectives, ensuring we deliver consistent, high-quality legal services worldwide.
Leadership and Strategic Direction
The Executive Leadership Group, chaired by the Managing Partner, is responsible for setting the firm’s strategy and overseeing its implementation. Its members represent the full breadth of our legal services, including leadership across key operational, financial, risk, and talent functions.
The effectiveness of the Executive Leadership Group is reviewed by the Partnership Council, which is chaired by the Senior Partner. This structure ensures accountability, transparency, and effective oversight across all levels of the firm.
Partnership Governance
Our firm is governed by a formal Partnership Agreement, which sets out how key decisions are made. Certain matters require partner approval, including the election of senior leadership roles, admission of new partners, mergers and acquisitions, major investments, and amendments to the Partnership Agreement.
Each partner holds one vote, with equity partners participating in specific financial and remuneration-related decisions.
Risk Management and Compliance
Risk management and compliance are overseen by the General Counsel, who reports to the Managing Partner and Executive Leadership Group. This function covers conflict management, client onboarding, regulatory compliance, insurance, and legal risk across all jurisdictions.
We apply a proactive and globally coordinated approach to risk, ensuring consistent standards across offices. All new clients and matters undergo thorough review through dedicated clearance processes, supported by strict conflict management procedures.
For cross-border matters, we apply the most restrictive applicable regulatory framework to ensure compliance across jurisdictions. Our risk strategy is reviewed annually by the Audit Committee.
Financial Management and Oversight
AppleRose Solicitors maintains transparent financial governance. We publish annual summary financial information based on audited consolidated accounts prepared in line with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Regular financial reporting is shared with partners, supported by detailed performance discussions and budget reviews. Financial oversight is further strengthened through the Audit and Risk Committee.
Audit and Risk Committee
The Audit and Risk Committee includes both internal and independent external members to ensure objective oversight. It is responsible for reviewing financial statements, recommending external auditors, and monitoring the firm’s risk management framework.
The Committee reports directly to the Partnership Council, reinforcing accountability and governance standards.
Partner Development and Performance
We maintain structured and transparent processes for partner recruitment, promotion, and performance management. Candidates are assessed against high professional and ethical standards to ensure alignment with the firm’s long-term goals.
Annual performance reviews allow partners to assess their contributions, client feedback, peer input, and overall performance against strategic objectives. Clear processes are in place to support improvement where needed, with appropriate review and appeal mechanisms.
Remuneration Structure
Partner remuneration is fully transparent within the partnership. Equity partners are compensated based on a profit-sharing structure aligned with their position within the firm. They do not receive external incentives or equity options, and earnings are not guaranteed.
This structure reflects both ownership and leadership responsibility within the firm, ensuring fairness, accountability, and long-term alignment with the success of AppleRose Solicitors.
